Jane Packer Flower School

-

Contemporary Design class, first was the 'bento box', Inspired by a Japanese Bento lunchbox, we made a frame of dogwood and placed flowers into the Oasis then covered the oasis with gravel. Rally effective I thought.
Second arrangement is inspired by a rice bowl- a hand tied bunch of 15 carnations with two dogwood 'chopsticks' sitting in a shiny silver bowl.
What imagination to come up with these ideas!
PS sorry about the yellow toned photos, forgot to change white balance in the camera.

A New Challenge..

I decided I'd start a separate blog for my floristry course, which I probably won't share for a little while!:) For one, there probably won't be much posted until the end of January now, with the end of the school term and year. And two, In case it's harder than I thought and I am disappointed..
I plan on using this blog to record my progress, things I learn and do, and list sites and blogs that I find interesting and inspiring. Fingers crossed before long I'm at a stage where I can share my adventures with everyone!:)
